Critters

Well I can't have a blog without putting all the critters on here. Right now in Hillsboro, I only have my dog with me. Her name is Koa and she just turned 2 years old. Jarett and I got her when she was 6 weeks old. Koa is a red sesame Shiba Inu. We looked into a lot of other dogs, but we wanted a dog that was smaller but didn't have the small dog personality. She definitely has a huge personality. She loves all her toys and plays all day long. Even though I don't have a backyard for her to play in, she bounces off the walls in the house and makes her own race track. My roommate has a cat that Koa loves to chase around (she just wants someone to play with her all the time). Koa normally keeps me company when I go for hikes and other things.

This is Jazmyne. She is with Jarett in Boise. She is about 4 years old. She keeps Jarett company while I'm not there. She is finally becoming a really sweet kitty. She is very talkative and will let you know how she is feeling.

Rodeo is a border collie that is with my parents in Reno. She is 11 years old. She gets really excited when I go home and visit. She still chases the horses around and plays ball.

Here is old man Q Ton. Yes, he is still around. He is turning 31 years old this April. He is pretty much retired now. Mom will sometimes pony him behind Starbuck when she goes out into the desert. He is still just as ornery as ever. Don't get between him and his oats!

Starbuck is my Mom's horse. Starbuck and Q Ton have the same birthday. I can't believe Starbuck will be turning 19 this April! Mom gets out and rides as much as she can. I know she is excited for the Spring to come so that she can get back on him. I wish I was there to ride with her. 

I thought I would give this a try...

So a couple of my friends have their own page, so I thought I would also get in on this.  So most of you who know me, I have been accepted to Pharmacy school at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon (if you don't know where Hillsboro is at, it's near Portland).  I started school in August 2008 and plan to graduate in May 2011 with a Doctorate in Pharmacy.  Yes I will be a legal drug dealer!  I spend most of my time studying for my exams that I have every two weeks.  It's a little stressful because with the program I am in, you have to pass every exam with a 90%!  So I pretty much don't have a life outside of school.  In the little time I do have for myself, I take my dog, Koa for hikes around the area.  Koa is a shiba inu and is about to turn 2 years old.  She is a lot of fun and keeps me entertained.  

Let's see, what else about me... I am in a long distance relationship with Jarett.  He is currently living in Boise, ID.  We have been dating for over 6 years and love each others company.  We have done a lot of amazing things together.  We have been on two cruises (Eastern Caribbean & Alaska) and have also lots of other little adventures.  It's hard being away from each other, but it is only for a short time while I'm in Pharmacy school.  We try and see each other as much as possible.  

My Mom and Dad are living in Reno, NV.  They are really excited about me getting into Pharmacy school.  They are now wondering where I'm going to practice so they get ready to move there!  My mom is already planning that when they get older and retire to live in my guest house.  She just wants to make sure that there will be a rocking chair on the porch so she can watch the horses.  My parents are both incredible people.  They have always been there to support me in my decisions.
